A simple library for handling searching through data.
Installation
using nuget package manager.
Install-Package Search.NET
using .NET CLI
dotnet add package Search.NET
or search Search.NET
in the Visual Studio nuget package manager.
Usage
// This is usually a dataset from a database.
string[] data = new string[] { "how to", "best", "top", "why" };
FuzzySearchAlgorithm fuzzySearch = new FuzzySearchAlgorithm(); // Create a new FuzzySearchAlgorithm object
fuzzySearch.Add(data); // Add the data to the search object.
fuzzySearch.Add("how to", "best", "top", "why") // Add the data via string array params
string[] items = fuzzySearch.Search("how to use a fuzzy search"); // returns all items matching with-in the threshold
Initialize object with data
FuzzySearchAlgorithm fuzzySearch = new FuzzySearchAlgorithm("how to", "best", "top", "why"); // Create a new FuzzySearchAlgorithm object with data
Initialize object with custom threshold.
Default threshold is 3
FuzzySearchAlgorithm fuzzySearch = new FuzzySearchAlgorithm(3, "how to", "best", "top", "why"); // Create a new FuzzySearchAlgorithm object with data
Sends a search with the max results of 10
string[] items = fuzzySearch.Search("how to use a fuzzy search", 10); // returns all items matching with-in the threshold and returns top 10
